Site Safety Representative

Location: New Albany, Ohio

Project: Data Center Power House Construction

Duration: 2+ Years

Schedule: 50 Hours per Week

Compensation : $45-55/hr (plus overtime)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Representative to support the construction of a high-voltage Power House facility for a major data center project in New Albany, Ohio. This is a long-term opportunity (2+ years) for a dedicated safety professional with strong electrical construction experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in high-voltage environments and a strong working knowledge of OSHA standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Enforce and monitor compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local safety regulations
• Oversee safety operations for high-voltage electrical construction activities
• Conduct daily job site safety inspections and hazard assessments
• Lead daily safety briefings (toolbox talks) and safety meetings
• Ensure proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures are followed
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs)
• Monitor subcontractor safety performance and compliance
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports
• Maintain safety documentation, logs, permits, and compliance records
• Coordinate with project management to proactively address safety concerns
• Support energized electrical work planning and high-risk activity permitting

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Certification (Required)
• Minimum 3+ years of construction safety experience
• Experience working around high-voltage electrical systems strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of OSHA standards and electrical safety regulations
• Experience in data center, utility, industrial, or power generation construction preferred
• Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions immediately
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work 50 hours per week in an active construction environment

Preferred Qualifications

• NFPA 70E training
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Experience with energized work permits and arc flash safety
• CHST or other safety certification (a plus)
