Upper School Humanities Teacher
Primary Duties:
- Teach Humanities courses (English, History, and Social Studies) for students in grades 6–8
- Design and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with Waldorf educational philosophy
- Use experiential learning, literature-based instruction, writing projects, and discussion-centered teaching methods
- Collaborate with colleagues through faculty meetings, curriculum development, and school-wide activities
- Foster students’ social and emotional development through guidance and mentorship
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Humanities, or a related discipline (advanced degree preferred)
- Prior experience working with middle school learners
- Familiarity with Waldorf education or openness to training in Waldorf pedagogy
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and classroom management skills
