The Animal Health Organization
Delaware, OH

Job Description

Job Description

Locations Available: Delaware and Reynoldsburg, OH

Join a Mission-Driven Veterinary Team

TAHO is a privately owned, community-based animal welfare organization dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality veterinary care regardless of an owner's financial circumstances. As we continue to grow—including the expansion of our second hospital—we're seeking compassionate veterinarians to join our team in a variety of roles.

Whether your passion is outpatient medicine or surgery, we offer opportunities to practice exceptional medicine in a collaborative environment where patient care always comes first. Unlike corporate practices, our veterinarians are empowered to make medical decisions based on what's best for each patient—not production goals or financial quotas.

Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Current Opportunities:

Outpatient Small Animal Veterinarian

Provide comprehensive outpatient care including:

  • Wellness and preventive medicine
  • Sick visits and diagnostics
  • Client education and treatment planning
  • Collaboration with an experienced team of technicians and assistants

Enjoy an appointment-based schedule with dedicated office time, excellent technician support, and no emergency call responsibilities.

Surgical Veterinarian (HQHVSN & General Surgery)

Help expand access to affordable veterinary care through:

  • High-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgery
  • Soft tissue procedures including pyometras, mass removals, cystotomies, gastropexies, enucleations, entropion repairs, and other general surgeries
  • Limited outpatient or inpatient care as needed
  • Collaboration with an experienced surgical and medical team

Previous HQHVSN experience is welcomed but not required. Training is available for motivated candidates interested in developing advanced surgical skills.

Why Join TAHO?

  • Private, mission-driven organization
  • Competitive compensation
  • Full-time and part-time opportunities
  • No corporate production goals or financial quotas
  • Supportive, collaborative culture that values professional autonomy
  • Modern facilities with digital radiology, in-house laboratory, dental equipment, and advanced surgical capabilities
  • Exceptional technician and support staff
  • Opportunities to make a meaningful impact in the community every day
  • Healthy work-life balance with no overnight shifts or on-call responsibilities

Benefits for Eligible Full-Time Employees

  • Competitive salary
  • Signing Bonus
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid vacation and paid holidays
  • Continuing education allowance and paid CE time
  • State licensing, DEA registration, AVMA, OVMA, PLIT, and professional dues paid
  • Technology stipend
  • Free personal pet care
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Loan repayment assistance (where applicable)

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent from an accredited veterinary school
  • Active Ohio veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to compassionate, high-quality veterinary medicine
  • Team-oriented mindset with a passion for serving the community

New graduates and experienced veterinarians are encouraged to apply. While formal mentorship programs may vary by position, our collaborative team provides a supportive environment where veterinarians can continue to learn, grow, and thrive.

Make a Difference Every Day

If you're looking for a veterinary career where you can practice excellent medicine, maintain a healthy work-life balance, and make a lasting impact in the lives of animals and the people who love them, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today by submitting your resume and a brief statement about why our mission resonates with you.
