IEP Aide FT
*Title: * A. IEP Aide Full Time (7 hrs.)
*Description: * Minimum Job Qualifications:
Must qualify under federal "No Child Left Behind" standards that include: 1.) a minimum of two years of study at an institution of higher learning, 2.) an Associates degree for paraprofessionals or, 3.) meet a rigorous standard of quality that can be demonstrated through a formal academic assessment. Work cooperatively with fellow workers, maintain a positive attitude. Ability to perform light to moderate physical labor. Must be able to obtain or possess and Aide certificate under O.R.C. 3319.088. Demonstrate a knowledge of first aid procedures. Have and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Ability to work cooperatively with students, staff and community. Must have yearly physical, current CPR / First Aid certificates, CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training and 6 hrs. of professional development. Brief Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: Assist classroom and/or resource teacher in duties as requested. Assist with student supervision as it relates to teacher released-time, playground, cafeteria and transportation. Shall assist students individually or in small groups. Assist in the supervision and management of special needs children. Assist teacher in making and reproducing teacher made materials. Maintain a positive rapport with staff & students.
