We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations for our team in Cleveland, Ohio. This position combines core accounting work with front-office support, making it ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling a variety of tasks. The right candidate will contribute to accurate transaction processing, assist with monthly accounting activities, and help create a welcoming environment for visitors and deliveries. This is a direct hire position with standard in office business hours; Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.
Responsibilities:
• Manage incoming and outgoing financial transactions by handling both customer billing and vendor payment activity.
• Record cash receipts, enter invoice details accurately, and maintain organized accounting documentation.
• Support the general ledger by reviewing account activity, preparing reconciliations, and identifying discrepancies for follow-up.
• Assist with month-end procedures by preparing journal entries and compiling schedules that support financial reporting.
• Contribute to timely monthly reporting by helping ensure accounting records are complete and accurate.
• Maintain vendor information and oversee the processing of supplier bills in accordance with internal procedures.
• Investigate unusual or complex accounting items and provide recommendations on appropriate treatment.
• Respond to audit-related requests by gathering records and preparing supporting financial information.
• Welcome visitors, accept deliveries, and provide basic front-desk assistance in the absence of a dedicated receptionist.
• Participate in special projects, reporting requests, and process improvement efforts as business needs evolve.

• Experience working with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.• Proficiency in data entry with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Background in invoice processing and maintaining organized financial records.
• Ability to support general ledger reconciliations and month-end accounting activities.
• Comfortable handling multiple responsibilities in a small office environment.
• Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented approach when greeting visitors or receiving deliveries.
• Ability to analyze accounting information and assist with ad hoc reporting needs.
