Physical Therapist Assistant

Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in delivering patient care aligned with individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, activities, and assistive techniques to patients to improve mobility.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising physical therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and safe mobility practices.
- Document treatments and patient responses accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a safe, clean environment during all sessions.
- Travel to patient homes or care facilities to provide convenient and personalized therapy services.
Requirements
- Valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license or certification as required by state law.
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Strong understanding of physical therapy techniques and rehabilitation protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage a flexible schedule.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to assist patients with mobility and perform therapy tasks.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various patient locations within the service area.
