Plant Controls Engineer

Use plant monitoring software to review cycle times of machinery, review and follow up machinery projects and installations

· Troubleshoot PLC, robot, and other machinery problems

· Update program backups for machinery

· Program new installations of machinery and conveyor systems

· Reprogram machinery for engineering changes and improvements

Skills Required:

· Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls - Siemens and/or Indramat PL7

· Electrical Background (electrician or technician)

· Related experience

· Siemens and Indramat servo and VFD drives

· Familiarity with VFD’s, Armor starts, encoders, network/Ethernet controls

Experience Required:

· 2+ years of related controls and debug experience.

Experience Preferred:

· Ability to independently troubleshoot equipment and continuously evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and delivery

· ABB robot experience

· Microsoft office including excel, powerpoint, word, etc.

· Ability to read prints, AutoCAD, interpret and modify electrical schematics

· Ability to read blueprints

Education Required:

· Bachelor's degree in engineering
