Associate Attorney
Provides legal advice and counsel in support of immigration matters before USCIS and Executive Office of Immigration Review. Researches and interprets existing laws and regulations and anticipated changes to laws to guide informed decisions and reduce risk. Prepares and reviews all immigrant and non-immigrant visa matters. Reviews and process incoming documents.
Admitted to practice law in any state
Excellent writing, organizational and research skills required. (Writing sample may be requested).
Applicants need 5 years of litigation experience or 3 years of immigration experience. Position requires regular appearance in Immigration Court in person and by video. Travel to Immigration Courts in other cities may be necessary.
Juris Doctorate from an accredited university is required. GPA of 3.5 or higher and top 15% of graduating class. Immigration experience a plus. Diligence and organizational skills necessary.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions. Excellent working conditions. Occasionally may have to lift and transport mail totes. May have to sit for an extended period using computers, scanners, and Clio software. Occasionally may have to stand at copy machine.
