Overview
Vaco is hiring a Cisco Network Engineer for a client supporting regulated, on-premise operational technology (OT) environments. This role is strictly focused on network engineering and security, with no responsibilities related to systems or operating systems.
We are seeking a hands-on engineer with deep Cisco expertise who can support, maintain, and secure critical network infrastructure in a compliance-driven setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain on-premise data center network infrastructure
- Configure, manage, and optimize Cisco network environments, including:
- Firewalls (FTD / FMC)
- Switching infrastructure
- Implement and support core networking technologies such as:
- VLANs
- LACP
- Troubleshoot and resolve network and connectivity issues across environments
- Ensure secure and compliant network operations within a regulated infrastructure
- Collaborate with internal teams to maintain network performance, stability, and security
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco technologies, particularly FTD and FMC
- Proven experience configuring and managing VLANs and LACP
- Solid understanding of network engineering principles and best practices
- Experience supporting on-premise infrastructure in regulated or secure environments
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues independently
- Must be able to start by mid May
