Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated second shift (1-9 PM) Manufacturing Engineer to manage the implementation of new, changed, or improved products into our manufacturing processes. This role involves developing, evaluating, improving, and documenting manufacturing processes to ensure effective and efficient production methods. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where your contributions directly affect lives.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, improve, and document manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with quality and manufacturing teams to implement measurement and process control techniques.
• Design and develop tooling and processes for effective and efficient production.
• Develop specifications for tooling, equipment, parts, or materials in collaboration with vendors.
• Assist operations in estimating staffing requirements, production times, and relative costs.
• Coordinate product/process changes and develop a structured process for improvement.
• Design, develop, and implement fixtures and tooling with low defect levels and product cost.
• Maintain accurate documentation of tool drawings and equipment design concepts.
• Provide engineering support to production departments to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
• Experience in writing work instructions and performing process audits.
• Proficiency in time studies and process improvement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in tooling, machining, and fabrication.

Work Environment

This role is in a recently remodeled facility featuring a game room area and an extremely clean manufacturing environment. You will spend 80% of your time on the floor responding to machine issues and setting up equipment, while the remaining 20% will be at your desk. The environment encourages hands-on learning and development, with opportunities to oversee a fast-paced production setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, OH.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $41.00/hr.
