Job Summary:
The Strategic Communications & Engagement Coordinator will lead strategic internal communications and high-level engagement activities. This role blends messaging strategy, stakeholder engagement, and event coordination to support leadership visibility, employee connection, and external outreach. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable advising senior leaders on communication strategy and managing logistics for distinguished visitor tours and corporate events. *Contract Award Contingency: This position is being advertised in anticipation of a potential contract award and is contingent upon the successful award of that contract to our organization. If the contract is not awarded, this position will not be filled. Job Duties/Responsibilities (List not all inclusive):
- Develop and manage multi-channel internal communication systems (e.g., newsletters, Teams pages, director calls)
- Collaborate with senior leaders to craft compelling narratives around organizational vision, strategy, and progress
- Draft and edit messages, scripts, and templates for leadership and supervisors
- Analyze existing communication platforms and recommend improvements for clarity and engagement
- Deliver training and resources to enhance communication effectiveness across teams
- Monitor communication activities and metrics, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
- Research and implement creative digital tools (e.g., blogs, podcasts, video-casts) to enhance employee engagement
- Plan and execute tours, corporate visits, and special events including logistics, site selection, agenda development, and protocol
- Coordinate with Front Office, executive assistants, and protocol teams to ensure seamless event execution
- Schedule and prepare meeting spaces, briefings, and materials for high-level engagements
- Track approvals, inputs, and changes related to tours and maintain accessible records for leadership
- Develop marketing materials and support public affairs activities for events and outreach
- Integrate marketing efforts with corporate events and ensure alignment with organizational messaging
- Produce performance reports and manage materials procurement and disposition
- Other relevant duties as assigned

- Ability to develop and manage multi-channel communication systems
- Proficiency in writing, editing, and content development
- Familiarity with current trends in digital and social media communication
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, SharePoint, and familiarity with digital and social media tools
- Ability to manage logistics and collaborate with senior leadership and support staff
- Meets U.S. citizenship and work eligibility requirements for federal contractors
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret level clearance, if required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, from an accredited college or university, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal communications, strategic messaging, or event planning in a government or military environment
- Experience with protocol and public affairs practices is a plus
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
- Visual acuity for close work, such as reading on screens and in print and working on a computer
- Occasional lifting of materials or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in a professional office environment
- Sufficient physical ability to move about the workspace to attend meetings, access files, and perform other job-related tasks
