Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU Float Pool (MICU / SICU / CVICU) - RNAP

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU Float Pool (MICU / SICU / CVICU)

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Contract Duration: 8 Weeks

Shift:

• 3x12 Hour Shifts – Nights
• Every Other Weekend Required

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs
• Identify and report changes in patient condition to physicians and charge RN
• Utilize structured handoff communication methods including SBAR
• Identify patient safety risks and implement safety interventions
• Develop and revise individualized plans of care with interdisciplinary teams
• Participate in care conferences and shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care
• Deliver evidence-based nursing care according to standards and physician orders
• Provide patient and family education tailored to care needs
• Respond effectively to emergency and critical care situations
• Maintain infection control and safety practices using appropriate PPE
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation through electronic medical records

Requirements:

• Diploma in Nursing required
• Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License eligibility required
• Strong critical care nursing knowledge and clinical judgment required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity ICU environment required
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and confidentiality standards required
• Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment and provide age-specific care required
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and competency maintenance required
• BSN preferred
• Prior ICU experience strongly preferred (MICU, SICU, CVICU exposure ideal)
