Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Quality Technician for our client. This role is responsible for testing, inspecting, and evaluating products to ensure compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines. This role supports quality engineers and management by conducting inspections, maintaining testing equipment, investigating quality concerns, and assisting with corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
What’s a Typical Day Like?
· Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods
· Conduct product testing according to established procedures and quality standards
· Evaluate products for conformance to specifications and customer requirements
· Document and record inspection and testing results accurately
· Identify defects, non-conformances, and quality concerns and communicate findings to appropriate personnel
· Maintain and verify the accuracy of gauges, measuring devices, testing equipment, and test machines
· Ensure testing and inspection equipment remains calibrated and operational
· Report equipment issues and coordinate repairs or calibration activities as needed
· Support Quality Engineers and Quality Managers with customer and supplier quality issues
· Assist in investigating quality concerns and identifying root causes
· Participate in risk assessments and corrective action activities
· Help develop and implement quality improvement initiatives
· Monitor quality trends and provide feedback to support process improvements
· Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, and testing documentation
· Ensure compliance with company quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements
· Follow all quality procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines
· Assist during audits and quality reviews as required
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
· High School Diploma or GED required
· Associate Degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred
· Previous quality inspection, quality control, or manufacturing experience preferred
· Experience using measurement and testing equipment preferred
· Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to read and interpret specifications, drawings, and inspection procedures
· Knowledge of quality inspection methods and testing techniques
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to collect, document, and analyze quality data
· Proficiency with basic computer applications and data entry
· Effective verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Manufacturing and production environment
· Exposure to production equipment, machinery, and testing devices
· Frequent interaction with production, engineering, suppliers, and customers
· Fast-paced environment requiring strong attention to quality and accuracy
· Experience with quality management systems (ISO, IATF, or similar standards)
· Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action processes
· Experience with calibration and testing equipment
· Manufacturing quality inspection experience
· Familiarity with customer and supplier quality requirements
· Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
· Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
· Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
· Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
· Communication skills.
