Installation Lead

***Location will be moving to Gallion, OH later this year***

Day Shift Hours! Monday – Friday: 5:30am to 4:00pm

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE: As a full-time lead, you will be responsible for timely, accurate installation and delivery of product at the rate and specifications required by the customer on a regular basis. Performance of duties and responsibilities to include the following:

  • Ensure work group operates at expected levels of throughput, providing training as needed
  • Assist, direct, and help to make sure products are installed properly on time
  • Make sure work group is set-up daily with tools and supplies to perform tasks
  • Ensure 5S practices are followed and the team improves on a regular basis and sustains
  • Maintain MDI board and act as backup for Daily MDI meeting
  • Assist Project Tech with shop issues and WOC’s
  • Engage and motivate the shop floor team daily
  • Ensure the shop floor team follows Standards that are in place and help identify/create new standards
  • Communicate Safety Standdowns, proactively look for safety issues, and enforce safe working practices and the use of PPE
  • Communicate Quality Alerts, identify and implement quality improvements, Lead quality improvement discussions
  • Help drive Lean and CI improvements on a consistent basis
  • Make sure of accurate inventory, movement, and scrap reporting
  • Make certain of proper type and quantity of parts, product, etc., are available for work group daily
  • Maintain inventory to proper locations for work group as required
  • Communicate information affecting work group, resolve problems for work group
  • Maintain work group productivity
  • Participate in, train, and support DDMS and Continuous Improvements throughout the facility on an ongoing basis.
  • Assure plant, department and assigned areas policies and practices are observed by the work group
  • Find and implement solutions/improvements to reduce costs for supplies and products.
  • Communicate issues/items not being resolved in work group to reporting supervisor for assistance
  • Make sure of cleanliness and orderliness of assigned work group area
  • Responsible for other duties and work as needed that may not be mentioned above.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:

Mechanical Skills:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with the processes and operations of the assigned work area to correctly install components and equipment.
  • Willingness to participate in required training.

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics and electronics.
  • Understanding of the shop order process, reporting procedures, and basic EMS system requirements.
  • Familiarity with weld inspection, steel types and gauges, and shop mathematics.

Personal Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external customers.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform continuous lifting of lightweight materials.
  • High-energy team player with a dependable work ethic and flexibility to work extended hours as needed.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree from a vocational or trade school preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to continuously lift/push up to 50 lbs.
  • Continuous bending, lifting, and standing
  • Exposure to noise and weld and grinding smoke at times
