POSITION TITLE: Heavy Equipment Operator (Pot Carrier, Truck Driver, Haul Truck)
Reports To: Site or Mill Services Manager
Overview of Position:
- Perform on-site heavy equipment operations.
- Loading, extracting, and transporting materials including molten steel.
- Handling components, modules, and systems of heavy equipment
- Converting heavy equipment with various mobile accessories
- Observing relevant safety, accident prevention, and environmental regulations
- Perform routine and Pre/ Post Trip inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to the supervisor.
- Clean equipment
- Maintain and protect all property.
- Maintain all required certifications required by OSHA and company safety programs.
- Provide outstanding customer service operations.
- Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED
- Vocational training as a heavy equipment operator
- Phoenix on-site training as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Demonstrated experience in operating front loaders, haul trucks, skid loaders, etc.
- Ability and willingness to operate trucks and various transportation equipment.
- Demonstrated experienced as an operator.
- Able to lift 40lbs.
- Experience with and knowledge of technical equipment and machinery.
- Results orientated/Strong work ethic.
- Must work flexible hours and shift work.
- Reliability, enthusiasm, teamwork
- Well-developed interpersonal skills – ability to get along with diverse personalities.
- Must Possess Valid Driver’s License
