The Division Manager of Quality and Compliance - HHH provides technical assistance and support to Home Health and Hospice agencies in the development, delivery, and auditing of healthcare services in accordance with company standards and federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Essential Activities and Tasks

Quality, Compliance, and Risk Management - 55%

  • Works with the Division Director of Clinical Operations and assists with the evaluation of all clinical regulatory accreditations (federal and state), billing, and system-wide adherence to performance standards.

  • Plans and provides site visits and mock surveys to assess compliance with Ohio Living policies, protocols, and all clinical regulatory standards.

  • Assists locations in responding to the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) and other accrediting body surveys and monitors for accurate and timely completion of the plan of correction documentation.

  • Maintains database of all past licensure and accreditation survey dates and assists agencies with survey readiness activities.

  • Performs, analyzes, and summarizes clinical chart audits based on potential areas of risk and regulatory requirements. Provides written recommendations on corrective action plans and monitors for compliance with agreed-upon plans.

  • Collaborates with division leaders in the analysis of Quality Metrics/Outcomes and Patient/Caregiver survey outcomes and assists with the formulation and implementation of plans of correction and monitors for compliance with agreed-upon plans.

Clinical Operations Management - 35%

  • Serves as a clinical and operational resource to all of the Home Health and Hospice agencies.

  • Recommends clinical best practices related to people, processes, and systems to enhance or improve patient care, outcomes, and satisfaction.

  • Prepares for and facilitates the policy and procedure committee to maintain current operational and clinical policies and procedures on an ongoing basis.

  • Researches best practices and consults with various user groups in the development of new policies and procedures.

  • Supports and influences the work of the Administrators, Hospice Directors, Clinical Supervisors, and Therapy Directors regarding the performance expectations of their position.

  • Provides orientation to new clinical leaders and ongoing education to clinical leaders.

  • Provides direct workflow support to Clinical Supervisors during vacancies as directed by the Division Director of Clinical Operations.

  • Works closely with the Division Director of Operational Support and Clinical Analyst for the development and implementation of efficient, functional, and comprehensive electronic systems and processes.

Financial Management - 5%

  • Serves in an advisory role on clinical billing and reimbursement issues.

  • Provides support to the division’s external clinical record request program which includes both government and private payers.

  • Provides oversight and preparation of outgoing records to ensure accuracy of record submission.

All other duties as assigned. - 5%

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required.

  • Master’s degree in a related area preferred.

  • Current unencumbered license for the state of Ohio to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Experience

  • Five years experience in the Home Health and Hospice industry required.

  • Experience as an Administrator or Clinical Director of Home Health and Hospice preferred.

  • Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the internet required.

  • Proficiency with Homecare Homebase required.

Other Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Must be insurable under professional liability and crime coverage policies as specified by insurance carrier underwriting standards.

  • Walking - Up to 4 hours/day

  • Lifting, transferring, pushing, or pulling residents/patients and/or equipment/supplies - Up to 50 pounds

  • Driving - Up to 6 hours/day

  • Travel % / Overnight Travel - Regularly

  • Subject to residents/patients with various disease processes - Minimal
