Finance Shared Services Manager

Position Summary
The Finance Shared Services Manager is a key leadership role within the finance team. The role will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the finance transactional team, managing a team of 10-12 Accounts Payable Coordinators, Accounts Receivable Coordinators, as well as the Credit and Collections team. You will be the primary point of contact for the wider business functions that interface with the receivables, payables and credit and collection.
This role will build strong working relationships with Sourcing/Procurement, Sales, Information Technology and the Financial Reporting and Internal Control Manager to ensure all business accountabilities from Finance and a SOX perspective are met. This role reports to the Controller.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversight and effective management of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Credit and Collection teams, including responsibility for the accuracy of all data being produced by the team.
- Oversight of all financial and accounting activities including controls to transaction processing and ensuring compliance to local in-country statutory and regulatory requirements
- Manage internal and external audit processes, ensure compliance to regulatory timelines.
- Ensure compliance with payment runs for accounts payable.
- Develop reporting on finance efficiency metrics (DSO, DPO, invoices per FTE, days to close), insights and KPI reporting.
- Be responsible for team scheduling, workforce planning, hiring and training staff on new and improved processes and systems and performance management.
- Provide mentoring and coaching to the team, and continually support and promote their professional development.
- Ensure appropriate and relevant governance structures, policies and processes are followed, and advocate for continuous improvement to these.
- Work with the various functions to develop and implement the strategy for the delivery of an effective and efficient Finance Operations model that supports the company's planned growth strategy.
- As a member of the Finance Management team, contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans and business initiatives.
- Analyze various expense accounts for accuracy of coding and reasonableness of monthly accruals.
- Responsible for various monthly account reconciliations.
- Responsible for process to ensure data integrity of vendor and customer master records.
- Maintain process flow charts and SOX control matrices for A/R, A/P and Credit processes.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work environment.
- Work on special projects/assignments as required.

Knowledge & Skill Needed:
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Equivalent experience
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in leading a shared services team
- Demonstrated experience in a shared service AP/AR function
- Strong communication skills, ability to liaise with all levels of internal stakeholders
- Minimum 5 years in a Management role and leading a team (if applicable)
- Advanced Microsoft Office experience required
- ERP Experience preferred
- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
- JDEdwards, Sharepoint experience preferred
