2nd shift Quality Inspector

Pay: 16.30-19.30 depending on experience
Hours: 3:15pm-11:45pm Monday to Friday
Essential Functions :
Examination/ Calculation/ Documentation

• Go to assigned department/ room and gather documentation material i.e. graph sheets (specification chart) and check sheet
• In-process: East Press room/ Front Press room/ Back Press room/ North Press room
• Collect parts for inspection
• Read blueprints and complete inspection process i.e. visually examine, measure, test (hardness, functional). Pick up or maneuver part if needed.
• Log results of inspection on proper documentation sheet
• If parts are incorrect, then communicate with appropriate personnel (may need to write die ticket) or nonconforming material tag.
• Must check "rounds” hourly at least four (4) per shift.
• Complete inspection of new samples when called (okay set-up) in log on operator log sheet.
• Add new samples to usual rounds.
• Complete daily scrap report and labor report and turn in to quality supervisor
• Check in outside heat-treated, plated, or other outside process parts
• Check in raw flashlight components and outside assembled components- in bound
• Make judgment about rejection parts with department head and production
• Punch travelers blue area each round/ end of shift
• Final audits and check parts according to check sheet, (dim. / Visual requirements) verify labels/ part number and correct on outgoing product. Attach certification/ SPC to product/ paperwork as instructed; verify all process done according to traveler.
