Mobile Maintenance Mechanic – Columbus, Ohio

Malace|HR is seeking an experienced Mobile Maintenance Mechanic in Columbus, Ohio . This is a 1st shift position supporting multiple commercial facilities. The Mobile Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for operating, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems while ensuring facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Job Responsibilities

Maintenance

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems.

• Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC equipment, electrical distribution systems, plumbing systems, building interiors and exteriors, and related facility equipment.

• Complete facility inspections and report conditions affecting building operations.

• Perform general building maintenance including repairing doors, office furniture, installing fixtures, and hanging pictures.

• Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and materials as needed.

• Replace lighting, ballasts, filters, and belts.

• Clean HVAC coils and perform routine equipment maintenance.

• Complete additional maintenance duties as assigned.

Safety

• Complete hazard assessments as required.

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain clean, organized work areas.

• Comply with all federal, state, and local safety regulations.

• Complete all required safety training.

• Practice defensive driving while operating company vehicles.

• Properly handle, store, and dispose of hazardous materials.

Driving

• Maintain a valid driver's license and safely travel between assigned locations.

Administrative

• Submit P-card receipts daily.

• Update work orders in real time using a CMMS.

• Perform routine vehicle safety inspections.

• Communicate issues promptly to customers and management.

• Attend required work and safety meetings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• EPA Universal Certification required.

• Experience with commercial HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance.

• Experience using CMMS/work order management systems.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 80 pounds.

• Work from ladders up to 30 feet.

• Frequently climb, bend, kneel, stoop, and work overhead.

• Work in hot, cold, and other outdoor conditions.

• Drive between multiple facilities throughout the workday.
