Job Overview:
Security is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing security protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and security of the restaurant premises, staff, and customers. This role involves assessing potential risks, managing security staff, monitoring surveillance systems, and coordinating with external security agencies. Security works closely with the management team to maintain a secure environment and respond effectively to any security-related incidents.
Requirements:Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, procedures, and protocols for the restaurant.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Manage and supervise security personnel, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain a visible presence within the restaurant to deter and respond to security concerns.
- Monitor and analyze surveillance footage and alarm systems to identify any suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies, fire departments, and other emergency services to ensure effective response to incidents.
- Conduct investigations into security incidents, accidents, or thefts, and maintain accurate records and incident reports.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on security procedures, emergency response, and safety protocols.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in restaurant security, recommending improvements as necessary.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as operations and HR, to ensure security measures are aligned with overall business objectives.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with security vendors and suppliers, ensuring quality services and competitive pricing.
- Respond promptly to security-related emergencies, taking appropriate actions to mitigate risks and protect individuals and property.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- In-depth knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of surveillance systems, access control, and alarm systems.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage security personnel and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to conduct thorough investigations and write detailed reports.
- Familiarity with local laws and regulations pertaining to restaurant security.
- Proficiency in using security-related technology and software.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to handle physically demanding situations if required.
