Director, Enterprise PMO

Purpose
The Director - Enterprise PMO is a senior leadership role responsible for building an agile PMO that transforms and drives the execution of enterprise-wide strategic initiatives. This individual will lead a high-performing team to ensure alignment between strategic objectives and program execution, enabling the organization to achieve its long-term goals. The Director will oversee program governance, portfolio management, and cross-functional coordination, acting as a key advisor to executive leadership.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
PMO Definition and Strategic Alignment
- Define and the vision, mission, and strategy of the Enterprise PMO in alignment with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
- Translate corporate strategy into actionable programs and initiatives.
- Ensure alignment of all programs with organizational goals and KPIs.
- Partner with senior leaders to prioritize and sequence strategic initiatives.
Program & Portfolio Management
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional programs.
- Establish and maintain a robust program governance framework.
- Monitor program performance, risks, and interdependencies across the portfolio.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and lead a team of program managers and analysts.
- Facilitate executive steering committees and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Change Management & Communication
- Develop change management strategies to support successful adoption of initiatives.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication across all levels of the organization.
Performance Measurement & Reporting
- Define success metrics and track progress against strategic goals.
- Deliver executive-level dashboards and reports to inform decision-making.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in program management, strategic planning, or transformation leadership.
- Proven track record of leading enterprise-wide initiatives in a complex, matrixed environment.
- Strong knowledge of program management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile, Lean).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with portfolio management tools and executive reporting.
