Development Manager (Non-Profit)

Position Summary
The Development Manager helps advance the mission of KAA by planning, managing, and executing fundraising initiatives that generate sustainable revenue and strengthen community engagement.
This ideal candidate is a relationship builder with 2+ years of experience in fundraising, development, events, or related work. The Development Manager oversees two major fundraising events, annual giving programs, and facilitates donor stewardship and gift processing.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, track budgets, and report on outcomes.
- Experience with fundraising or marketing tools preferred (donor CRM, email platform Constant Contact, Canva).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work full-time on-site, with occasional evening and weekend hours for events.
Key Skills & Responsibilities
Fundraising Events
- Plan, coordinate, and execute major annual fundraising events.
- Manage relationships with sponsors, donors, volunteers, and vendors.
- Develop event materials, sponsorship packages, and promotional content.
- Track and report event performance, outcomes, and budgets.
Annual Giving & Campaigns
- Strategize and implement KAA’s annual giving plan, including year-end appeals, monthly giving, and targeted campaigns.
- Create fundraising content for print, email, social media, and web.
- Peer to Peer fundraising experience a plus.
Donor Relations & Stewardship
- Maintain ongoing communication with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
- Develop and execute creative stewardship activities.
- Ensure accurate gift entry, acknowledgments, and donor reporting.
Project & Workflow Management
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects with attention to detail.
- Respond to real-time feedback and adapt quickly.
- Comfortable meeting fundraising, engagement, and stewardship KPIs.
