As a Residential Plumbing Diagnostics & Repair Technician, you’ll troubleshoot and fix residential plumbing and drain systems, prevent issues with proactive maintenance, and offer smart upgrades that improve comfort and efficiency.

A Day in the Life

You start your morning in a fully stocked company vehicle, tablet synced, uniform crisp, and tools ready. The first stop is a home with a stubborn drain issue—your diagnostic skills pinpoint the cause, and your repair gets the water moving again. Later, you perform preventative maintenance: inspecting lines, checking pressure, clearing drains, and flushing a water heater to remove sediment. Midday brings an urgent call for an overflowing toilet—your calm, quick response prevents damage. You wrap the day by advising a homeowner on energy-saving fixtures and water conservation upgrades.

What You’ll Do

• Repair: Diagnose and resolve leaks, clogs, malfunctioning fixtures, and water heater issues; repair or replace pipes, faucets, toilets, heaters, and related components
• Maintain: Conduct routine inspections, verify pressure, clean drains, and flush water heaters to prevent breakdowns
• Respond: Handle urgent calls such as burst pipes or overflows with prompt, professional service
• Advise: Educate homeowners on system upgrades, efficient fixtures, and water-saving measures

What You Bring

• Valid Journeyman Plumber license preferred
• Your own hand tools
• Working knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety practices
• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving ability
• Customer-first mindset; able to clearly explain options and recommendations
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Valid Driver's License required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
