Manufacturing/Warehouse General laborer - Day, Afternoon and Midnight Shifts

Overview:

BRT Extrusions, located in Niles, OH, is looking general labor workers to join our expanding Company.

BRT is a growing aluminum extrusions company, and as we grow, our employees grow as well.

Essential duties of the Manufacturing/Warehouse General laborer:

Follow direction of the supervisors/operators to prep racks and stack material on them

Keep work area clean – using brooms, dustpans, and shovels

Work at a steady pace to keep up with material flow

Move metal product and/or materials/racks manually as required

Comply with Company policies including but not limited to safety policies

May learn specific press positions to become cross trained

Requirements The Manufacturing/Warehouse General laborer:

Must be 18 years of age to work in the plant.

Must be able to work varying shifts and OT as needed (day, afternoon, night shift)

Must be willing to work in other departments as needed.

Must have ability to understand basic instructions.

Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

Must have basic math skills – be able to read a tape measure.

Must have good attendance – show up for work every day you are scheduled.

Individuals will be able to perform essential duties of task with or without reasonable accommodations.

Physical requirements:

This position requires the individual to work in a factory/manufacturing/heavy equipment environment. The temperatures can fluctuate from hot to cold and the noise level is high. An individual in this role will be able to walk, bend, stoop, twist, turn, climb and push/pull frequently. With proper safety equipment, an individual in this role may work above ground level occasionally. An individual in this role will need to be always aware of movement and/or noises around them. An individual in this role must move 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally. An individual in this role will remain stationary and move about the factory as needed per essential duties of the position. An individual in this role will be an effective communicator verbally and in writing, and this role requires individuals to read and follow written procedures/instructions with or without reasonable accommodations.
