ROLE SUMMARY
The Project Engineer (Traveling role) will learn Welty processes and tools and develop professional skills while assisting from the estimating phase through project completion.
Autonomy and Decision Making: Makes decisions on routine matters, provides recommendations to supervisor and refers all exceptions to supervisors.

KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in creating and maintaining Project Schedule
Create Request for Quotations, collect and qualify quotations, tabulate quotations, for PMs approval for all Requests for Proposal.
Assist Project Manager/Superintendent in creating RFIs, FWD,s and Bulletins
Assist Project Manager/Superintendent with Scope of Work changes
Request Bid Evaluations
Utilize the project management software
Create and distribute Project Meeting Minutes.
Maintains subcontractor list as assigned for bidding utilizing the Companys selected computer program(s).
Transmits invitation to bid letters using current methodologies as directed.
Assist Estimator / Project Manager in tracking bidders.
Assembles Scope of Work Book on a project by project basis. Sends Bid Documents out for printing and distributes to Subcontractors.
Contacts unsuccessful bidders to secure return of Bid Documents books.
Transmits submittals to Architects and transmits submittals back to subcontractors after they have been approved by the Architect.
Tracks and Files Certified Payroll reports by project as required.
Scans and files project progress photos
Drafts and or otherwise prepares memoranda and bulletins on project changes and transmits to appropriate subcontractor.
Assists in creating presentation materials.
Assists in the compilation of the Monthly Progress Reports as directed.
Assist in taking Meeting Minutes as directed.
Performs any other task or duty as may be directed by Project Managers or the Office Manager.

Utilizes relevant Welty Technology to support all assigned responsibilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY
Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner.
Communication skills, verbal and written.

Ability to manage multiple priorities.
The use of analytical and observational skills which demonstrate an ability to organize, direct, budget, control and manage projects.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, specifications and contractual documents.
Proficiency in construction software.
Proficiency in required construction technology.
Knowledge of the means and methods of construction management.
Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work.
Knowledge of Lean process and philosophy.
Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally.
EDUCATION
Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred).
In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
EXPERIENCE
0-2 years of PE/construction experience (Preferred).
CERTIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS
Successful completion of company training and role-specific professional development coursework, within required timeframe (Required).
Successful completion and maintenance of First Aid Certification, CPR (Required).
All OSHA training required to supervise project.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
This is a traveling role and the individual will need to travel out of state for periods of time to complete projects as necessary
Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project demands.
Normal office/climate controlled environment, but may also be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold).
Frequent activity: Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen.
Occasional activity: Standing, Walking, Bending, Reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling, Climbing.
