Volt is immediately hiring a Lab Technician in Milford, OH

As a Lab Technician you will:

Key Responsibilities

Perform analytical testing using techniques such as:

• Infrared Spectroscopy (IR).

• Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) spectroscopy.

• Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC).

• Gas Chromatography (GC).

• Titrations and other wet chemistry methods.

• Prepare samples, standards, calibration curves, and reagents following established procedures.

• Analyze and interpret data with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Document all analytical results in laboratory notebooks or LIMS.

• Follow written test methods, SOPs, and safety procedures consistently.

• Prioritize daily tasks to meet testing deadlines and project schedules.

• Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.

• Collaborate with team members and communicate test status clearly.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in chemistry, Biology, Materials Science, or related field; or equivalent laboratory experience (0-3 years).

• Basic understanding of chemical principles and common analytical techniques.

• Experience with IR, ICP, GPC, GC, or titrations (coursework or internship acceptable) preferred.

• Ability to follow detailed procedures and work with minimal supervision after training.

• Excellent time-management and organizational skills.

• Commitment to safe laboratory practices and compliance with EH&S guidelines.

Work Environment

• Laboratory-based position requiring appropriate PPE.

• May involve standing for extended periods, working with chemicals, and using analytical instrumentation.

• Previous lab work or analytical testing is a plus.

This is a Contract full time opportunity.

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22 per hour
