Superior Walls of Upstate New York is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Junior Mechanic to support the preventive maintenance and repair of our fleet of trucks and trailers. Based in Lima, NY, this full-time position plays a crucial role in ensuring our equipment is road-ready and compliant with state and federal transportation regulations. Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on company trucks and trailers Check and monitor brakes, tires, and fluid levels Replace and repair lights, fuses, and other small electrical components Change oil and lubricate/grease fittings Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate vehicle status to operations management Ensure all equipment is compliant with applicable safety and transportation laws Maintain a clean and organized work area Assist with other shop tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Mechanical aptitude and interest in automotive or heavy equipment repair Basic knowledge of shop tools and vehicle systems Ability to follow safety guidelines and company procedures Excellent communication skills Strong attention to detail and reliability Willingness to learn and grow within the role Valid driver's license High school diploma or equivalent preferred Military experience or technical training is a plus

Full-time

Monday to Friday 8-hour shifts Typical Hours: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM Location On-site in Lima, NY and surrounding areas
