• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) — Night Shift ICU RN / Travel Nurse
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Floating: Required to UH Tripoint Medical Center and UH Lake West Medical Center (ICU, Stepdown, Med/Surg)
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: ICU 1:1–3; Stepdown 1:4–5; Med/Surg 1:4–6
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890 (Travel nurse pay for ICU RN)

Job Requirements — ICU RN / Critical Care RN Qualifications

• Experience: ICU or critical care RN experience (required)
• License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Ohio OR Compact RN license accepted as applicable
• Certifications: Critical Care RN certification preferred; BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Onboarding & Compliance: Ability to complete skills checklist, background check, drug screen, and health documentation (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza, Fit Test, Physical/Health Statement, 2-step PPD or IGRA)
• Float Readiness: Comfortable floating to Stepdown and Med/Surg units as needed for travel nursing staffing
• Documentation: Driver's License/State ID, education and employment verification, and other onboarding items

Responsibilities — ICU Travel Nurse / Critical Care Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based nursing care for critically ill patients in the ICU and Stepdown units as an experienced ICU RN
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition; escalate concerns to the interdisciplinary team
• Care for patients with respiratory failure, endocrine and electrolyte disorders, stroke, cardiac arrest, sepsis, COVID, TB, renal failure, and other complex conditions
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and titrate vasoactive drips per unit protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care plans
• Float between ICU, Stepdown, and Med/Surg units at UH Tripoint Medical Center and UH Lake West Medical Center as staffing requires
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record to meet patient safety and facility standards
