Emerald Environmental, a leading provider of environmental solutions, is seeking a motivated and dedicated Field Compliance Inspector to join our growing team in Kent, Ohio . Are you hard-working and enjoy working outdoors on a variety of projects? Are you able to work independently and as part of a team? This position involves traveling to multiple states to inspect environmental monitoring systems at customer sites within the retail petroleum industry. You will also work on a variety of other environmental services projects, including stormwater control, pollution prevention systems, lake and pond management, vegetation management, air sampling, and more.

Prior trades experience or an Environmental Science-related degree is ideal.

This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position offering competitive compensation, modest overtime, a monthly bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.

What You Will Do:

• Using a company inspection truck, follow the designated route to customer sites
• Conduct inspections and minor maintenance on retail petroleum sites
• Develop expertise in a variety of UST, retail petroleum, environmental, and consulting services
• Collect and organize data using our designated software platforms.
• Adhere to all safety and security procedures.
• Obtain a variety of related certifications
• Maintain accuracy and thoroughness.

What You Need:

• Willingness to travel 6-10 days per month, primarily on a Mon-Fri schedule
• Ability to work independently and as a team to perform a variety of inspection, maintenance, and field services projects
• Minimum of a High School education (2 or 4-year degree or relevant trades experience preferred)
• Prior experience in environmental services or a related field is ideal
• Related State Certifications (UST & Stormwater) are ideal but not required
• The ability to perform basic physical tasks, including lifting 50+ lbs, standing extended periods, and working with a variety of tools/equipment
• The ability to use basic applications on smartphones and tablets
