Human resources generalist
Mancan Norwalk seeking a people-oriented and detail-focused HR Generalist in the Norwalk area. This role is essential in supporting HR operations, ensuring legal compliance and cultivating a strong and consistent people experience across the organization.
This position is a direct hire opportunity with a starting wage of $59-65K salary per year based on experience. The ideal candidate will have solid generalist HR experience in a manufacturing environment, strong working knowledge of local labour law, and proficiency in both the Spanish language and professional English. Key Responsibilities1. Employee Lifecycle Management
- Coordinate all stages of the employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to exit and offboarding processes.
- Support probation, performance appraisal, and contract renewal cycles in collaboration with line managers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and ensure compliance with local legal guidelines and internal policies.
- Support policy development and implementation in alignment with local labour legislation.
- Ensure legal documentation (contracts, letters, etc.) are up to date and filed appropriately.
- Collect, verify and submit payroll inputs including attendance, absences, overtime, and leave balances.
- Ensure timekeeping systems are accurately maintained and support reconciliation processes with finance.
- Assist in talent acquisition, including job posting, CV screening, interview coordination
- Facilitate smooth onboarding processes for new hires, including induction and system

- Support local training initiatives by coordinating logistics, tracking attendance, and
- Collaborate with Group HR to implement and monitor development programmes.
- Act as a point of contact for employee queries, fostering a positive and inclusive
- Support internal communication efforts and employee engagement initiatives.
- Prepare monthly HR reports for HQ, including headcount, absence rates, recruitment
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- HR certifications (e.g., CIPD) are desirable.
- At least 2 years of experience in an HR Generalist role, preferably in a manufacturing
- Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.
- Sound understanding of local labour law and HR best practices.
- Experience with payroll input coordination and policy administration.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is mandatory.
- Professional English proficiency is required for internal communications and reporting
- High attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
