Job Title: Pipefitter | $30-40/hr | 2nd or 3rd shift | Minerva, OH

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter for either the 2nd shift (3 PM - 11 PM) or 3rd shift (11 PM - 7 AM) in Minerva, OH. Candidates will be responsible for cutting, threading, or hammering pipes to specifications using various tools, laying out full-scale drawings, and inspecting installed systems. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $30-40/hr

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread, or hammer pipes to specifications using tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders, or pipe benders.
• Lay out full-scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, or related equipment according to blueprints.
• Inspect, examine, or test installed systems or pipelines using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, and observation.
• Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications.
• Attach pipes to walls, structures, or fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipment.
• Modify, clean, or maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, or related machines or equipment using hand and power tools.
• Install pipe assemblies, fittings, and valves.
• Keep records of work assignments.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in welding and pipefitting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience in threading and pipe installation.
• Journeyman level skills are preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a unionized work environment is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Work Environment

Work in a union environment within a larger facility. The position offers unlimited overtime, with a 20-minute paid lunch and 1-3 ten-minute paid breaks. Off-shifts include a $1 shift differential.
