Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ Years of Experience License: Active Ohio/OH or Compact RN License Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Post-operative open heart care experience - Critical care experience (highly preferred) - Chest tube and other drain management experience - Pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access - Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, including reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips, recognizing and responding to changes in cardiac rhythms - Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities - Experience with procedures and equipment including assisting with chest tube removal, removal of pericardial pacing wires, management of temporary pacers, troubleshooting of non-invasive ventilation (NIV) devices, and high-flow oxygen delivery systems - Ability to float to all units within skill level Description: Functioning within the mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients during the shift. RN responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria. Judgments are made based upon scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries. About Cynet Health
