Direct Hire | $100,000–$125,000 + Car + Bonuses
Structural Steel Project Manager. Construction-driven role requiring grounded experience in mechanical and structural construction environments.
The position manages the full lifecycle of steel fabrication and erection work across commercial, industrial, civic, cultural, and data center projects. The firm maintains a long history in complex steel packages with a steady backlog and consistent workload.
Candidates need a minimum of five years managing structural steel projects within commercial or industrial construction. They must read and interpret architectural and structural documents, convert design intent into fabrication and field execution, maintain schedules, direct delivery and erection sequencing, and keep production moving under pressure. They must control RFIs, change orders, contract terms, scope, and profitability. Competence in job costing, budgeting, and documentation is expected, along with disciplined coordination among architects, engineers, clients, and subcontractors.
The role manages awarded projects through closeout, directing engineering review, detailing, fabrication, logistics, and site installation. It drives cost, schedule, and quality objectives while leading coordination across production and field teams. It reviews submittals, drawings, and compliance requirements and supports estimating through technical review of bid documents.
