WATER QUALITY FIELD TECHNICIAN I

The Northwestern Water and Sewer District will be accepting applications until October 24, 2025, for the position of full-time WATER QUALITY FIELD TECHNICIAN I. Wage is $27.85 per hour plus additional pay for EPA licensure plus benefits.

Performs a variety of water quality duties, including addressing water quality issues, leak detection, cross-connection surveys, water main flushing, sampling, and testing.

High school diploma or GED and five (5) years experience in water distribution and/or water treatment.

Ability to read and write common vocabulary.

Possess operator certification Class I Water Distribution and Backflow Prevention within one year and recommend obtaining Class I Water Treatment within one year.

This position will perform work duties in a variety of weather conditions.

Must obtain a CDL during the probationary period.

The District offers paid training for licensures, added compensation for OEPA licenses, and tuition assistance for this position.
