The Opportunity

Location target: must reside in the Northeast (NE): Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio or PW (Pack West) region: Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington. We are looking for someone with underwriting experience at Ally who is a team player and can handle large groups. A Sr. Consumer Underwriter - Auto Finance evaluates, negotiates, and decisions consumer offerings within Ally's underwriting policies to further grow application and contract volume. They build and maintain a portfolio of dealers and provide best-in-class relationship management for their assigned territories as a crucial part of the Ally Auto framework.

The Work Itself

• Maximize portfolio revenue by practicing sound underwriting judgment and risk management principles.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting policies; elevate risk issues, and stay abreast of constant changes in policy and procedures.
• Limited travel will be required for this role.
• Requires flexibility in work schedule, evening hours and weekends may be required.
• Demonstrated strong performance in managing key relationships and/or key markets to drive business plan results.

The Skills You Bring

• 3+ years in auto finance underwriting (prime, sub-prime, and/or non-prime) is preferred.
• 2+ years leadership experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in related field strongly preferred.
• Ability to provide advice/direction in primary areas of expertise leveraging technical expertise and relationships to contribute to strategy and drive business results.
• Contribute to and manage projects.
• Excellent sales, negotiation, problem solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Exemplary dealer relationship management skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs.

An individual's position in the range is determined by the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.
