Key Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions

Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Develop and execute the company’s operational excellence strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead Company-wide initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance service delivery.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on best practices, benchmarking, and operational standards.

Process Improvement & Optimization

  • Identify, analyze, and prioritize opportunities for process improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Facilitate Continuous Improvement events, value stream mapping, root-cause analysis, and workflow redesign.
  • Implement standardized processes and frameworks to ensure consistency and scalability.

Performance Management

  • Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting systems to monitor operational performance.
  • Track improvement project outcomes, quantify benefits, and report progress to senior leadership.
  • Drive accountability for performance metrics across functional teams.

Change Management & Culture Building

  • Lead organizational change efforts to embed a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Coach teams and leaders on operational excellence principles, problem-solving techniques, and structured decision-making.
  • Facilitate training programs to build internal capability and promote knowledge transfer.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Ross Group Management to align improvement initiatives with business priorities.
  • Manage project teams, timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.

Other

  • Other duties as assigned
  • Requires dexterity to operate a computer and other devices.
  • Understands and helps execute the company's commitment to Occupational Health & Safety (ISO 45001) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ten plus years experience in similar position or in a role providing management of the Operational Excellence function
  • Ten plus years of Plant Management or Large Scope Operations Management experience
  • Experience developing and executing strategic plans and initiatives
  • Five plus years proven experience partnering with Company Executives to execute cross-functional initiatives
  • Lean Six Sigma experience and certification(s) required
  • Experience in chemical processing or incineration is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of DOT, RCRA regulations, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act, Part B Permitting, RIS’ Safety and Operating Procedures preferred.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written and verbal communications skills.
  • Must be highly organized, analytical and able to problem solve to meet business objectives.
  • Must be able to resolve conflicts to meet business objectives.
  • Work is performed indoors, as well as outdoors, in plant environment.
  • Physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
