Machinex is a company involved in the sales, installation, service and support of commercial laundry equipment - think really BIG washers and dryers up to 255 lb. capacity. Working from our offices, the Field Service Technician position services our clients by repairing and troubleshooting the equipment we sell. The person filling this position will also periodically be involved in new installations. Field Service Techs are important in helping our customers with your technical knowledge and skills but you also serve as a face of the company in the field.

As we are a small company, we're not limited by defined roles. If you show an interest in sales or have ideas to improve our efficiency, we're open to it and are willing to adapt to your talents. We recognize that our industry is specialized, consequently we will spend significant time with you in training. We provide a work vehicle while at work, and have most power tools and equipment. You will be responsible for having hand tools necessary to complete your job effectively; wrenches, screw drivers, nut drivers, drill, bits etc.

Every day is different and there is some travel involved. Most travel is day trips within 2 to 3 hours or less. Periodically we will have jobs that keep us overnight. We work in cities such as Louisville, Lexington, Indianapolis, Columbus and Toledo and our client base includes Fire Departments, Hotels, Vet Clinics, Restoration Service, Vended/Coin Laundries, Commercial/Industrial Laundries and many more. Everyday is a new adventure.

Our suppliers are located in the U.S., Spain, Japan, Holland and provide us with technical support and marketing support. We are involved in local associations and participate in regional seminars and conferences.
