Job Description

At Oracle Health, we are pioneering AI solutions that redefine healthcare intelligence. As a Lead Data Scientist, you will guide teams in building and operationalizing advanced Generative AI and ML models that power decision support, automate workflows, and enable innovation across clinical and operational domains.

You will serve as a technical leader-mentoring scientists, influencing strategy, and ensuring the scalability, performance, and compliance of AI solutions.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of advanced AI/ML and Generative AI systems.

Translate product and clinical needs into AI strategies and solution architectures.

Mentor and coach data scientists in technical excellence and model lifecycle management.

Partner with engineering and product teams to ensure scalable, secure deployment.

Define evaluation metrics, validation pipelines, and monitoring standards.

Contribute to research, patents, and thought leadership in applied AI.

Promote responsible and ethical use of AI in healthcare.

Required Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or related field.

8+ years of experience in AI/ML with 2+ years in a leadership or mentorship capacity.

Proven success delivering end-to-end AI solutions in production.

Deep expertise in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.

Strong understanding of healthcare data systems and interoperability standards.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience leading cross-functional AI programs or research initiatives.

Track record of innovation through patents, publications, or open-source work.

Knowledge of LLMs, RAG pipelines, and AI agent frameworks.

Proficiency with cloud ML platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP).

Responsibilities

Leads teams in identifying and executing high-impact AI opportunities; defines scalable architectures; ensures reproducibility and compliance; and mentors scientists to deliver AI innovations that enhance patient outcomes and drive business value.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $109,200 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
