Schedule

Day shifts consist of 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 - 19:30. Night shifts consist of 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 - 07:30, with rotation between day and night as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital environment. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced setting, handling multiple responsibilities and ensuring optimal outcomes for patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in a Med/Surg Tele unit with a focus on monitoring patients’ conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Conduct patient assessments and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention.
• Document patient care and progress in the electronic health record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele specialty prior to the travel assignment.
• 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience accepted, including travel experience.
• Must hold a current Ohio nursing license or a compact state license.
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate test completion with acceptable scores during orientation.
• One reference from a supervising manager, ANM, or director in the specialty required for submission.
