The Opportunity

Ohio Kids Dentalis offering a full-time opportunity as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant at our Hamilton office. We are an upbeat team looking for an individual who has a passion for helping others and wants to make a positive difference in their community.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Assist office managers in supporting and supervising back-office employees
• Work chair-side with dentists, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties
• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays)
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Take impressions of the patient's teeth (models), extractions, composite fillings, etc...
• Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling)
• Ask about the patient's medical history and take blood pressure and pulse
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures

At a Glance

• Certifications Required: CDA or RDA and EFDA course completion (as mandated per state requirements), X-ray certification
• Additional Certifications: Coronal Polishing certification is a plus
• Experience: 1+ years of experience as an EFDA
• Job Type: Full-time

Compensation and Schedule

• Salary: Starting at $35.00 depending on certifications. Additional increases for experience
• Bonus Pay: up to $600 additional per month
• Schedule: On-site. Monday-Friday
