About the Role:

As a Youth Care Specialist at PATHWAYS TO PURPOSE, you will play a crucial role in empowering and supporting at-risk youth in Garfield Heights, OH. Join our dedicated team to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people while fostering a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and support to youth in residential settings.
• Facilitate individual and group activities to promote personal development.
• Monitor and document daily behaviors and progress of youth.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies when necessary.
• Maintain a safe and structured environment for all residents.
• Engage in regular training and professional development opportunities.
• Build trusting relationships with youth to encourage positive change.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in social work or related field preferred.
• Experience working with youth, especially in a behavioral health setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• CPR and First Aid certification required; training provided.
• Understanding of trauma-informed care principles.
• Compassionate demeanor with a passion for helping youth succeed.
• Background check required for employment.
