CareVet is offering a total compensation package of $200K guaranteed in your first year (Based on experience) at Champion Animal Hospital in Warren, OH as a full-time DVM team member. In addition to our customizable compensation package, this position offers a production bonus plan, clinical support, schedule flexibility, 401k match, access to our vacation plan, and "true" paid time off.
Practice medicine in a state-of-the-art facility!
We provide diagnostic, clinical and surgical care in our full-service animal hospital. Champion Animal Hospital contains 4 exam rooms and 1 surgery room, perfect for the size of Warren. The incoming Veterinarian will enjoy practicing medicine with one of the best-equipped hospitals in the area containing in-house laboratory tests, digital radiography, and the safest available anesthesia for surgical procedures. We are not only a laser center that can offer advanced and alternative treatment options but also can complete Medical, Surgical and Dental Care for our patients! Plus, you’ll have the support of a strong, long-standing team who foster a friendly, positive atmosphere. Did we mention we’re closed on weekends?!

- Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems
- Treat and dress wounds
- Perform surgery on animals
- Test for and vaccinate against diseases
- Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines
- Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments
- Prescribe medication
- Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality care
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
- Licensure in the state/s candidate will be working
- Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
- Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
- Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
- Strong fondness and understanding of animals
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of animal behavior
- Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
