Machine Operator (ALL Shifts)
As a Machine Operator, you will be expected to maintain and monitor our machines to make sure they continue to function properly. You will gain hands-on experience producing high-quality products at Superior Dairy’s manufacturing plant in Canton, Ohio. You must have a rolling understanding of how an operating machine works and will be required to conduct periodical quality checks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate Robotic Systems: Set up, operate, and monitor machinery and systems that process, handle, and package of dairy products.
- Quality Control: Ensure that products are handled and packaged according to quality standards. Perform regular checks to maintain consistency and quality.
- Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues.
- Material Handling: Manage the supply and movement of products within the plant. Ensure proper storage and handling of materials.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production data, including quantities handled, machine performance, and any issues encountered.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 1-2 years previous experience in operating machinery or robotic systems, or similar automated equipment is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and move heavy materials, stand for long periods, perform repetitive tasks, frequent bending, ascend ladders and scaffolding, and have good balance,.
- Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced, refrigerated environment. Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
