Accounts Payable Admin

We are actively seeking an Accounts Payable Admin in Columbus, OH to join our award-winning team.

Work Schedule: Monday- Thursday 7:30am-4:00pm and Friday 7am-3:30pm MUST be willing to be flexible as jobs may change
Position Responsibilities of the A/P Admin:
- Enter invoices into the accounting system (Timberline/Sage)
- Match invoices to purchase orders
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation
- Obtains approval for payments, generates AP & refund checks, and then obtains necessary signatures
- Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries
- Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos
- Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
- Maintain historical records and organizes and files documents
- Maintains all AP reports, spreadsheets and corporate AP files
- Files paid/unpaid invoices and statements
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Answer all vendor inquiries and maintains positive vendor relationships
- Act as liaison between corporate and branch locations regarding accounts payable
- Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related duties as needed
- Assists in the completion of special projects as warranted
- Completes other duties as needed and assigned
Basic Qualifications of the A/P Admin:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of administrative experience in an office setting
- Previous experience and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are a must
- Must have good communication skills, be professional, personable and mature
- Experience with Timberline and Sage a plus
- Valid Driver License
- Adhere to company screenings
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to adhere to large amounts of sitting
- Must be able to speak English and hear to communicate
