Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Pay Range: $24 – $34 per hour
About the Role
My client is a leader in the food and beverage manufacturing industry. Due to continued growth, they are hiring a skilled Maintenance Technician to support their 24/7 production facility. In this hands-on role, you will ensure the operational reliability of processing and packaging equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely repairs.
This position plays a key part in maximizing uptime, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and changeovers on production equipment to reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Follow strict GMPs, food safety standards (SQF, HACCP), and sanitation procedures, including working in wet wash-down environments.
- Partner with production operators to identify inefficiencies and improve line performance.
- Accurately document work orders, parts used, and PM completion in the CMMS.
- Adhere to and advocate for all safety policies and practices.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience; food, beverage, or CPG background is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with industrial machinery; food-grade processing/packaging equipment is a plus.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Basic PLC troubleshooting knowledge is highly desirable.
- Understanding of GMPs and food safety standards in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive, self-driven attitude.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, overtime, and participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
