Facility Maint. Tech - 1st Shift $20.00 per hour

Position Summary:

Facility maintenance is responsible for daily upkeep of the building and grounds. Daily activities include ongoing 5S efforts, preventative maintenance, lawn care and snow removal, and additional projects as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for daily 5S activities, such as shop floor sweep and scrub, maintaining an organized and clean safe work area, and any appropriate paperwork/check sheets.
• Perform painting inside and outside of the facility
• Perform grounds maintenance such as mowing, trimming, basic landscaping and building care, snow removal.
• Perform racking beam and upright repairs and replacements
• Other duties as assigned

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

• Ability to be highly motivated and further developed Skills and Knowledge
• Ability to operate equipment such as sweeper scrubbers, scissor, and boom lifts
• Ability to use basic power equipment
• Ability to work at heights up 45’
• Ability to operate mowers, trimmers, and other outside power equipment
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work, contribute and succeed in a team environment.
• Ability to work overtime and unexpected hours

Experience/Educational Requirements:

• Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent

Licenses or Certifications:

• Valid Drivers License
• Fork truck license -Training available
• Knuckle boom and harness -Training available
• Other equipment, as needed – Training available

Work Environment:

• Must be able to work in a factory environment.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
