Weekend Shift Supervisor

WEEKEND SHIFT SUPERVISOR -- NCORC JUVENILE CORRECTIONS

• Supervises, Coordinates, and directs activities of Rehabilitation Advisors on shift (i.e. prepares daily post orders)
• Completes employee schedules for shift
• Evaluates staff performance according to NCORC policy
• Ensures staff compliance with facilities policies and procedures
• Disciplines staff according to NCORC policy
• Ensures minimum staffing levels are maintained
• Maintains safety and security of staff, youth and facility
• Ensures daily schedule is followed
• Ensures room checks are completed and documented as required
• Provides crisis intervention for youth and staff when necessary
• Discusses problem situations with staff, Assistant Director, Program Director, and/or Director to recommend alternatives and determine solutions
• Ensures staff follow intake/release procedures and complete necessary paperwork for youth entering/exiting the facility
• Makes decisions regarding youth disciplinary sanctions
• Contacting mental and/or medical health care providers
• Assures completion and maintenance of all logs, reports (incident reports, supervisor's checklist, etc.) and records pertaining to the shift
• Pass medication if no nurse on shift
• Point reviews with the youth when therapist is not able to do so
• Reviews reports in Critical Incident/Incident Report binder
• Communicates with Shift Supervisor and staff regarding issues/concerns that affect youth, staff, and/or facility
• Coordinates transports
• Attend Supervisors' meeting and relays information regarding revised and/or new policy and procedure
• Conduct shift meetings monthly
• Assists with laundry and cleaning tasks when necessary
• Ensures that the facility is organized and clean
• Ensures that youth returning from home passes take drug tests
• Ensures that all youth that are on medication that go home on home passes, leave and return with their medication
• Shall not disclose or use, without appropriate approval, any information acquired by him/her during the course of official duties which is confidential
• Completes, assists in, and supervises other related duties as assigned

Shift Hours: 12:30pm - 10:30pm Days off -- Tues, Wed, Thurs Starting Pay $19.00/hr.
