Summary of the position

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Staff Accountant based in our headquarters in Fairlawn, Ohio, joining our Finance & Accounting team.

Responsibilities

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for:

• Maintaining financial records
• Performing reconciliations
• Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes
• Managing accounts payable and receivable including cash disbursements and receipt of physical checks
• Preparing monthly journal entries associated with fixed assets, investments, and notes payable
• Assisting with audits
• Supporting the analysis of financial data to support decision-making processes

Requirements

Required Skills/Experience

• Experience with financial recordkeeping, financial statement preparation, and reconciliations
• Knowledge of accounting policies
• Proficiency in managing accounts payable and receivable
• Strong analytical skills for financial data analysis and supporting decision-making processes
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus
• Experience in the financial services industry is beneficial
