Associate Veterinarian

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-time

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

An established privately owned animal hospital in Columbus, Ohio is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its collaborative and supportive team. This position offers a flexible schedule of approximately 24-32 hours per week, making it ideal for veterinarians seeking strong work-life balance while practicing high-quality, relationship-based medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate, high-quality medical care to small animal patients.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and their pets.

• Perform wellness examinations, diagnostics, treatment planning, and routine surgical procedures as appropriate.

• Collaborate with experienced veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure excellent patient care.

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Covetrus Pulse electronic medical records software.

• Participate in rotating Saturday coverage as part of the regular schedule.

• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented hospital culture focused on quality medicine and client service.

Practice Features:

• Digital Radiography

• Digital Dental Radiography

• Ultrasound

• In-House Laboratory Equipment

• Surgical Laser

• Covetrus Pulse EMR System

Schedule:

• Flexible schedule of 24-32 hours per week

• Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

• Saturday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM (rotating schedule)

• No after-hours, emergency, or on-call responsibilities

• No overnight patient care

• No walk-in appointments

Education, Licensure, and Experience:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school.

• Active veterinary license or ability to obtain licensure in the State of Ohio.

• Previous clinical experience preferred; however, new graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Strong communication, teamwork, and client relationship-building skills.
