Job Title: Material Handler Job Description

The material handler plays a crucial role in ensuring that department workers have all the necessary materials and supplies to complete their tasks efficiently. This position involves gathering materials, staging work orders based on production priorities, and maintaining an organized material flow to prevent shortages.

• Gather materials and supplies to ensure department workers have all necessary items to complete required tasks.
• Stage work orders based on production priorities.
• Maintain organized material flow.
• Restock needed items before shortages occur.
• Assist with scanning and labeling tasks.
• Utilize various pallet jacks and carts to move material throughout the facility.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.

• Experience in production and material handling.
• Proficiency with forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Familiarity with inventory management and RF scanners.
• Ability to perform basic tasks on a computer.
• Capability to lift up to 50lbs throughout the shift.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of previous production/manufacturing experience required.
• Previous material handling experience preferred.

The position is for the 1st shift, operating from 5am to 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday. While overtime is currently limited, there is the possibility of additional hours on Fridays and Saturdays as needed. The facility has about 150 employees, creating a community-focused and cooperative environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Youngstown, OH.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
